The Washington Post is following the Los Angeles Times, announcing Friday that the paper is declining to endorse a presidential candidate in the 2024 election — and going a step further by refusing to endorse any in the future.
As for the candidates: Former president Donald Trump is in Texas today, sitting down with Joe Rogan to record a highly-anticipated episode of Rogan’s podcast. Trump will also speak about the border crisis from Austin this afternoon, before heading to swing state Michigan for a rally in Traverse City tonight. His running mate, JD Vance, is holding a town hall event this evening in Monroe, North Carolina.
Vice President Harris’ public schedule is quiet today, ahead of a rally tonight in Houston, Texas, where Beyonce is reportedly set to perform. Her VP pick, Tim Walz, is in the key blue wall state of Pennsylvania, with appearances in Philadelphia, Allentown and Scranton.
